Instruction
Step 1 : In a small bowl mix all the spices including the ginger. Set aside.
Step 2 : In a large saucepan, heat the oil .
Step 3 : Add the onions and cook until golden brown.
Step 4 : Add the garlic and continue to cook for a minute.
Step 5 : Stir in the spices and allow the flavours to infuse.
Step 6 : Stir in the tomato paste.
Step 7 : Add the chopped tomato and pour in the water. Simmer and season with salt to taste.
Step 8 : Add the chicken pieces stirring well to coat the meat with the sauce. Continue to simmer until the chicken is cooked and the sauce has thickened, about 12 minutes.
Step 9 : Stir in the yogurt and continue to simmer 5 minutes.
Step 10 : Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro
Step 11 : Serve with bismati rice.
